A board built for lively gatherings and the kind of moments that deserve a little color and character. Piece XLIII layers warm hardwood tones into a rhythmic sequence of stripes—bright maple, golden osage, rich padauk, and deeper walnut—framed at both ends by molten red resin with subtle glints of gold.

The effect is bold yet balanced: a composition that feels musical, energetic, and unmistakably handmade. Whether you’re setting out charcuterie, serving small plates, or styling a kitchen display, this piece brings both warmth and movement to the table.

Description

Handcrafted from a curated mix of hardwoods, Piece XLIII showcases an expressive stripe pattern that runs the full length of the board. The ends are anchored by red resin with soft gold shimmer, adding a sense of richness without overwhelming the wood. The alignment of species creates a clean geometric rhythm—light to dark, warm to cool—giving the board a structured yet artistic feel.

Individually numbered and finished with Odie’s Oil & Wax, it’s built as functional art: durable enough for daily use, striking enough to display.

Maintain it for Life Program

Art deserves care — and we believe in caring for what we create.

Our Maintain It for Life program is a simple way to keep your piece beautiful and functional for decades.

Only available for local customers, it includes:

  • Biennial care and inspection — every two years, we’ll assess your piece and refresh or recondition it as needed.
  • Repair for life’s little accidents — small cracks, chips, or surface damage that happen with normal use will be restored by us.
  • Lifetime care guidance — access to ongoing maintenance advice and support whenever you need it.

We’ll take care of your piece for as long as it’s loved and used as intended.

Natural wear, fading, or damage from neglect or extreme conditions fall outside the program — but we’ll always offer fair repair options if that ever happens.

Made to be used, loved,
and kept for life.

Craft-Quality Guarantee

Every Wood and Frosting piece is built with care, patience, and precision — because art that brings people together should last as long as the stories it helps create.

Each board, table, or art piece is shaped by hand, finished for durability, and sealed to withstand the rhythm of real gatherings. We stand by that craftsmanship completely.

If a structural issue ever arises — one caused by the making, not the living — we’ll repair or replace it, at no cost. No forms, no fine print — just integrity in our work and respect for yours.

Register your product here to activate your guarantee. You can do this any time, we don’t care if you do it right away or wait for 5 years first! Each piece is unique and individually numbered so there’s no duplicating!
